Cosmetic Car Repair Insurance

What is Cosmetic Insurance?

Cosmetic Insurance (which can be referred to as Smart Repair Insurance), covers the cost of having minor damage repaired. The cover uses 'SMART' (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) techniques, which avoids the large repair bills when having to visit a traditional Bodyshop.

The cover focuses on repairing minor scuffs, scratches and dents that can occur in everyday driving. The majority of drivers choose not to claim on their motor insurance for this type of minor damage due to their excess, and risk of increasing their insurance premium. Cosmetic Insurance is a solution to this problem, allowing you to maintain the appearance and keeping the value in your vehicle.

All repairs are conducted by a fully trained technician and can usually be completed in a couple of hours. The work is arranged at a time and place convenient to you, such as your home or place of work.

What are the benefits of having Cosmetic Insurance?

  • Helps maintain the appearance of your vehicle throughout ownership
  • Repairs are completed at a time and place to suit you
  • Helps maintain vehicle resale value as it will stay in top condition
  • No excess to pay
  • All repairs are guaranteed for the lifetime ownership of the vehicle

What do you get with Cosmetic Insurance?

  • 36 months of cover
  • Covers the cost of minor cosmetic repairs on bodywork within 30cm diameter
  • Unlimited claims up to £1,000 each, to a maximum aggregate of £3,000
  • £150 bodyshop contribution where damage is within policy parameters but is deemed not SMART repairable.
